Friends of St. Swithun’s School (FOSSS)
Friends of St Swithun’s (FOSSS) is our school’s Parent Teacher Association (PTA), bringing together our wonderful parents, carers and members of our school community to support and enrich school life for all our children.
FOSSS plays a vital part in the life of St Swithun’s. Through a range of fantastic events and fundraising activities, the group helps to provide additional resources, opportunities and experiences for our pupils, while also bringing children, families and staff together as a community.
Throughout the year, FOSSS organises events and activities for children and families, with the money raised going directly towards supporting projects and experiences across the school.
Everyone is welcome
There are lots of ways to be involved with FOSSS, and you can give as much or as little time as suits you. Some parents and carers join the committee and help to plan activities throughout the year, while others lend a hand at a particular event, help behind the scenes or simply volunteer when they are able.
Every offer of help is valued, and new faces and ideas are always very welcome.
FOSSS holds an Annual General Meeting (AGM) each year, when the committee is elected, as well as meetings throughout the school year. All parents and carers are welcome to attend. Details of upcoming meetings and events are shared through the school newsletter.
If you would like to find out more, get involved or offer your help at an upcoming event, please contact the school office, and we will be happy to put you in touch with the FOSSS team.
You can also join the FOSSS Facebook group to keep up to date with news, events and ways to get involved.
