Friends of St. Swithun’s School (FOSSS)
The Friends of St Swithun’s School Parent Teacher Association (PTA), also known as FOSSS, is an association made up of all parents and guardians of the children at school.
The objective of FOSSS is to create and nurture a link between the parents and the school to enrich the pupils’ learning experiences and well-being. FOSSS raises valuable funds to provide additional resources, facilities and experiences for the school through fundraising activities and events. FOSSS holds an AGM annually which all parents are invited to attend. At this meeting a committee is elected to run the PTA. FOSSS also holds regular meetings throughout the school year – look out for dates in the school newsletter.
A fantastic group of parents form a committee and plan activities for the children and families to raise funds for many projects throughout our school and FOSSS is always keen to welcome new members onto the committee and would love to hear from you if you would like to get involved. We appreciate that not everyone can make this kind of commitment, so there are also lots of roles for people who would prefer a job related to a particular event or would just like to help out as needed, the friends of FOSS are an essential part of the team. If you would like to be a part of the FOSSS team, please contact the office so we can put you in contact with them.
