Curriculum Introduction

An Introduction to the Curriculum

Catholic primary schools in England provide a broad and balanced curriculum that integrates academic excellence with spiritual, moral, and social development. Rooted in the teachings of the Catholic Church, the curriculum is designed to nurture each child’s intellectual growth while fostering a deep sense of faith, community, and responsibility.  Please see each subject and year group pages for more details.  If you have any questions, please email the School Office: [email protected].

Extra-Curricular and Enrichment Activities

We offer a variety of extracurricular activities, including choir, drama, and sports.  These activities enhance pupils’ learning experiences, encourage teamwork, and foster a sense of social responsibility.  Please click here Before, During and After School Activities – St Swithun’s Catholic Primary School for further information.

Our curriculum is designed to educate the whole child—intellectually, spiritually, socially, and emotionally. By combining academic rigour with faith-based values, we prepare pupils for future success while instilling a lifelong commitment to faith, service, and learning.
