Portsmouth SEND Information, Advice and Support Service (SENDIASS)
Operated by Barnardo’s, SENDIASS offers impartial, confidential, and free support to parents, carers, and young people aged 0-25 with SEND. Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Team
The SEND Team at Portsmouth City Council is responsible for coordinating Education, Health and Care (EHC) plans and annual reviews. They work closely with families and professionals to ensure that children and young people receive appropriate support. Education Health and Care Plans (EHCP)
EHCPs are a legal document which sets out a child or young person’s special educational needs and the support that is required to meet these needs. This includes a suitable education setting (nursery/school/college).
